The University of Connecticut’s Pre-Medical and Health Professions Post-Baccalaureate Program is a certificate program intended for students who have completed an undergraduate degree and wish to strengthen their preparation for professional school in the health professions. The program offers two possible tracks, each tailored toward students’ academic backgrounds and prior coursework. To learn more about the program, please visit the website.
The program application is only for entrance in the fall semester of each year. The application cycle begins on October 1, and ends on April 1. Submit by January 15 for priority consideration for interviews and admission. Applications received after this date will be reviewed on a rolling basis, as space permits, until the final deadline of April 1.
Apply through the following link and after your account has been set up, select “Pre-Medical and Health Professions Certificate Program.” It is best to apply early in the cycle for fastest consideration of your application. It is a small, highly selective certificate program—we encourage prospective applicants to familiarize themselves with the program by attending one of our group information sessions.
Information sessions for Fall 2026 will be held on the following dates:
- Thursday September 3rd at 11am
- Tuesday October 6th at 1pm
- Monday November 9th at 3pm
For graduating UConn seniors, alumni and students from other undergraduate institutions who have earned or will be earning a bachelor’s degree and have interest in applying to the UConn Pre-Medical and Health Professions Post-Baccalaureate Program, we encourage you to attend a group information session.
