2025-2026 Health Professions Peer Advisor
My name is Jovita Enriquez (she/her), and I am a senior from Atlanta, GA, majoring in Physiology and Neurobiology on the pre-dental track in the Honors Program. In addition to my goal of becoming a dentist, I have a strong passion for public health and strive to integrate my academics, clinical experiences, and research to advocate for oral health equity. Having seen firsthand how social determinants shape health outcomes, I aspire to provide patient-centered care that helps bridge disparities.
On campus, I stay actively involved in both academics and community engagement. I serve as a campus tour guide with the Admissions Office, am a member of the Pre-Dental Society, and conduct developmental biology research in the Kanadia Lab, focusing on fetal limb development. For the past 2 years I have also served as a mentor for the Health Professions Exposure Program, supporting high school students from under-resourced communities in pursuing careers in healthcare. I have also served as a BIOL 1107 Lab mentor, helping peers succeed in the course.
Outside of academics and extracurriculars, I enjoy music and concerts, going to the gym, cooking, travelling, and spending quality time with friends and family.
