Why did you choose to pursue a career in healthcare?

I want to play a proactive role in improving the health of patients, especially those who are disadvantaged by the social determinants of health.

What were some meaningful extracurricular activities that you were involved in while at UConn?

UConn Greek life, HuskyTHON, and participating in benchmark research were all important experiences that taught me a lot.

What did you do during your growth year(s) and what did you learn?

I took one gap year where I scribed for ScribeAmerica in outpatient orthopedics. It was an amazing experience, and I learned so much in a short amount of time. I also became a pro at charting, which is a great skill to go into medical school with!

What are some ways that you take care of your mental health and overall wellbeing?

Exercise and eating healthy are key.
