Trinity Baush

2026-2027 Health Professions Peer Advisor

My name is Trinity Baush (she/her/hers), and I am from Chicopee, Massachusetts. I am now a senior majoring in Psychology, pursuing a Bachelor of Science. My goal is to become a psychiatrist while researching because I love studying the brain and am interested in learning about medication and how it affects various patients.

I am a Health Professions Peer Ambassador in the Pre-Medical & Pre-Dental Advising Office, and I work as a Health Equity Advocacy Coordinator at UConn's Student Health and Wellness Center. I have dyslexia, which has caused me to take a deep interest in the topic, causing me to ultimately get involved in the LandiLab, a research lab where we work with children throughout their adolescence and study their eye movements, reading comprehension, and brain matter throughout their education. I am currently on the pre-med track, which has opened up many opportunities for me. One of my favorite experiences was leading a trip abroad to Peru, where we got to set up mobile clinics in rural areas to treat people in need of medical care. I was able to shadow physicians there, learn how to take vitals, and even work one-on-one with many patients. This trip confirmed my passion for becoming a medical professional.

Volunteering is also a huge passion of mine. I work with Community Outreach as a program director for Project Hope, which is a shelter that houses those experiencing homelessness during winter and helps distribute resources to help guests reacclimate. I also volunteer with the Mansfield Senior Center, where I sing throwback folk music. Outside of my academics, I love to go rollerblading and make vlogs with my friends.

I'm very passionate about helping students access resources. As a first-generation student, I was very intimidated when I set foot on campus and felt overwhelmed choosing a career path with such rigor. I would love to connect with you about research, volunteering, and cool extracurriculars that UConn offers. I want to be a helping hand to undergraduate students who are interested in healthcare and ensure a welcoming environment in the pre-health community!

I would love to connect with you about...

  • Cost friendly certifications for clinical experience and ways to get clinical experience without needing a certification
  • Research opportunities and how to get involved in research
  • First generation resources and opportunities
  • Getting involved in Community Outreach and volunteering on campus
  • Organizations on campus that offer trips abroad for the Pre-Health community
