My name is Kenneth Nguyen (he/him) and I am a senior in the Honors Program majoring in Biological Sciences with a minor in Anthropology on the pre-medical track!

I like to wear many hats when I am on or off campus, and I see that my involvement reflects that I seek out opportunities to engage and connect with other people through various mediums and avenues! I serve as President of UConn Choirs, a Weekend of Welcome Captain for first year students, assist with research involving novel therapies for neurodevelopmental disorders in Kinesiology, work as a university tour guide for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, and work off campus as a medical assistant in dermatology! Additionally, I have been involved in service work as a local volunteer with Hartford Healthcare, and also participated in a medical service trip to the Dominican Republic to understand global applications of medicine!

Beyond academics, I love to create and indulge in art--whether that is making graphic design visuals, collage boards, craft projects, attending concerts, or exploring museums! I also am big into photography, and often rope my friends into scenic adventures to capture moments and memories through the lens of my digital camera.

The Office of Pre-Professional Advising has served as a great resource for me throughout my time at UConn, especially since I am the first in my family to pursue a career in medicine. I understand the challenges that come with this great honor, which is why in my role as a Health Professions Peer Advisor I hope to support fellow students with kindness and grace in our journeys to becoming healthcare professionals!
