My name is Izzy Kolbusz (she/her/hers) and I’m from Mount Olive, New Jersey. I’m a junior, in the Honors Program, majoring in Exercise Science, with a minor in Molecular & Cell Biology. I love learning about the intersection of exercise and medicine and how both are so valuable in our daily lives!

I’m a Health Professions Peer Ambassador in the Pre-Medical & Pre-Dental Advising Office, and I also work as a Student Medical Support Trainee at UConn’s Student Health and Wellness as well as an Ambassador for the College of Agriculture Health and Natural Resources (CAHNR). I’m also the Vice President of the Polish Cultural Society and a Fundraising Chair for the UConn Women’s Club Flag Football Team.

I’m very passionate about helping out in my communities and I’ve been able to experience this by being an EMS extra in my hometown and a medical assistant in a primarily Polish-speaking community! I’m also a research assistant at the Korey Stringer Insitute over at Gampel Pavillion where we work with laborers, warfighters, and athletes within our communities.
